Mom & Dad rush Jonny to the hospital ER. Upon arrival, Jonny is rushed into an examination room.

Dr. Suzuki does an examination and his diagnosis is that Jonny is suffering from appendicitis.

Dr.Suzuki goes to waiting room to inform Mr. & Mrs. Miller, of Jonny’s examination and diagnosis.

How long will he be in surgery?
手術はどのくらいの時間がかかるのでしょう？
The surgical procedure takes an hour to an hour half usually. We will do laparoscopy.
手術は通常１時間から１時間半かかります。腹腔鏡手術です
However, we have to prepare the O.R.(Operation Room) & make sure Jonny hasn't eaten or drank anything for 6hours.
